Paul Family Farms

About

Nestled along the winding lanes of Paul Hollow near Galeton, Pennsylvania, Paul Family Farms is a living testament to over 150 years of generational stewardship. Since homesteading the land in 1865, the Pauli family has evolved from raising sheep and dairy cattle to crafting exquisite maple syrup and goldenrod honey, maintaining a deep bond with their 4th, 5th, and even 6th-generation family members who now walk the fields and woods with pride. Today, Bim, Judy, Bud, Debby, Tim, Cathie, and the youngest Paul cousins continue the legacy, harvesting small‑batch, wood-fired maple syrup and raw honey from the heart of Potter County.

Family lies at the core of every bottle—each season begins with gathering sap across their forested acreage, boiling over a wood-fired evaporator, and crafting specialty products like bourbon-barrel-aged syrup, maple sugar, and smooth maple cream. The farm is also known for its raw goldenrod honey harvested in spring and fall, further reflecting the rhythms of the land. Paul Family Farms doesn’t just sell—you’ll find them at artisan markets, wholesale outlets, and featured among regional “Friends of the Farm” in towns like Galeton, Coudersport, and even Pittsburgh, connecting distant communities to a piece of Paul Hollow.

Despite the sadness of losing Bud Paul in 2023, the farm rallied in true family form—hosting a memorial cookout, adding staff, expanding to nationwide shipping, and launching farm events like a new Labor Day weekend tradition, all while looking ahead to celebrating their 160th anniversary in 2025. Whether you’re exploring their handmade cinnamon-infused syrup, tasting raw honey, or visiting their pastoral homestead, Paul Family Farms warmly invites you to share in a legacy that’s equal parts flavor, history, and heart.
