Lumber Heritage Quests: Celebrating America
As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, we invite you to take part in a series of interactive quests designed to guide you through the landscapes, landmarks, and stories that have shaped our region’s history. These quests are your chance to explore at your own pace, uncover fascinating facts, and connect with the people, places, and events that have left their mark on America’s first 250 years.
Each quest combines history, exploration, and discovery. You might find yourself tracking down historic Civilian Conservation Corps sites or uncovering the origins of local traditions. Along the way, you’ll learn not just about well-known moments, but also about the smaller, often-overlooked details that make our region’s story unique.
Three Quests — One Big Challenge
This celebration features three separate quests across the Lumber Heritage Region, each offering a unique way to explore our history and heritage. With 15 counties in the region, each quest includes one stop in every county — that’s 15 locations per quest.
Complete any one quest and you’ll earn bragging rights (and a prize for the first 50 to finish each quest).
Complete all three quests, and you’ll be crowned the LHR Champ, and the first 10 champions will win an additional prize.
Whether you take on one quest or go for all three, every stop reveals a piece of our shared story and brings you closer to the heart of the Lumber Heritage Region of Pennsylvania.
