Woodward, PA 16882
Woodward Cave is a karst formation from bedrock that is over 400 million years old and is one of the largest caves in Pennsylvania. In addition to unique geological features, Woodward Cave is home to one of the largest winter habitats for bats in PA. For over a hundred years, local and federal agencies have closely monitored our cave to track the health of Pennsylvania’s bat population. Every winter, we close our cave so as to not disturb hibernating bats, and to ensure our state’s biological resources are preserved!
Grab a hoodie or blanket from our gift shop. Woodward Cave is a consistent 48 degrees. Woodward is open year-round, but our Cave Tours are only from May to September. Reserve your tickets ahead with easy online booking!
