The Penn Wells Hotel, built in 1869, is one of Wellsboro’s most historic landmarks. The current building, which was restored in the 1920s, has 70 character-filled guest rooms of varying sizes and types. Our elegant Lobby and Mary Wells Dining Room transport guests to a bygone era where welcoming staff and friendly locals remain the norm. The cozy and inviting full-service Lounge sits adjacent to the Hotel lobby and offers a full selection of classic cocktails, beer and wine in a great atmosphere in which to wind down after a busy day of travel, recreation or business.

Our 89-room Lodge, just two blocks down Main Street from the Hotel property, offers guests contemporary lodging, including complimentary breakfast and 32 Executive suites designed to surround visitors with the comforts of home. Relax in front of the fire in one of our four impressive fireplace suites, and enjoy the added privacy of a separate living room with kitchenette, bedroom and full bath.

The Lodge also offers a number of standard guest rooms perfect for business travel or small groups. Kids and adults alike can enjoy our indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The Lodge is home to our fitness center, business center, guest laundry services and travel market. Guests at both locations are welcome to use all of these amenities at their convenience.
