Cosmos’ Lounge is a teen-first creative third space located in downtown Bradford, Pennsylvania, serving youth ages 12–20 across the Lumber Heritage Region. Founded in 2024 by Ashly Gross, Cosmos' was created in response to a growing lack of safe, welcoming places for teens to spend time after school and on weekends—particularly in rural communities where access to arts, recreation, and connection can be limited.

Cosmos operates as a low-barrier, non-clinical space where teens can simply exist without pressure. There are no grades, performances, or expectations—just a safe place to hang out, create, and connect. Offerings include art and craft activities, games, music and creative exploration, teen-led events, workshops, and community collaborations that emphasize belonging and self-expression.

Cosmos’ Lounge works to remove economic and transportation barriers while strengthening community connection for rural teens.

Leadership is intentionally youth-informed, with teens actively shaping programming, events, and the overall atmosphere of the space. Cosmos’ mission is simple: to provide a safe, inclusive environment where teens feel seen, valued, and free to be themselves.

Cosmos fits within the Lumber Heritage Region by contributing to downtown revitalization, arts and cultural engagement, and community-building for the next generation. By partnering with local artists and organizations, and creating accessible creative opportunities for rural youth, Cosmos supports the region’s long-term social and cultural vitality.
