Lumber Heritage Region, PA – Lumber Heritage Region Announces New Board Structure and Welcomes Loren Kumher
The Lumber Heritage Region (LHR) is pleased to announce the latest structure of its Board of Directors for 2025. As stewards of our region’s rich forest products heritage, our Board guides LHR’s mission of preserving, promoting, and celebrating the cultural and economic value of our forests.
We are also thrilled to welcome Loren Kumher (Kane, PA) as a new Industry Board Member. Loren brings valuable expertise and industry insight that will help strengthen LHR’s work across the region.

The LHR covers 15 counties in Northwest and North Central Pennsylvania, highlighting the critical role the lumber industry has played—and continues to play—in shaping the region’s economy, culture, and future. As a 501(c)(3) organization, LHR is dedicated to promoting the region’s assets to visitors, supporting the Pennsylvania hardwood industry, and ensuring the continued economic impact of this vital sector. The Lumber Heritage Region of Pennsylvania covers the following counties: Cambria, Cameron, Centre, Clarion, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Forest, Indiana, Jefferson, Lycoming, McKean, Potter, Tioga, Warren.
