LHR Teen Conservation Camp 2026

LHR Teen Conservation Camp

June 29 – July 1 | Cameron County Fairgrounds
Ages 15–17 | Limited to 15 Participants

Teens ages 15–17 are invited to register for the first LHR Teen Conservation Camp. This will be a three-day, two-night immersive experience inspired by the legacy of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Hosted in partnership with Cameron County Outdoor Youth Association (CCOYA) and Elk/Cameron Penn State Extension 4-H.

Set in the heart of the Lumber Heritage Region, this overnight camp encourages participants as they build practical outdoor skills, explore forest and heritage sites, and enjoy structured recreation and activities. Through hands-on learning experiences, participants will gain insight into the natural and cultural history of the region while developing confidence, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Blending history, stewardship, adventure, and fun, LHR Conservation Camp connects the past to the present; encouraging the next generation to explore, learn, and lead outdoors.

Registration & Policies

Camp is limited to 15 participants.

A $25 registration fee is required to reserve a spot. $20 of the $25 registration fee will be reimbursed upon full completion of the camp. Families are also able to donate the entire fee deposit to support the LHR Teen Conservation Camp instead of receiving reimbursement.

Due to limited space and planning commitments, cancellations after June 1, 2026 are non-refundable except in urgent circumstances reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
