Allegheny National Forest Visitors Bureau announce Marketing & Event Grant Program
Matching grant program funds up to $2500 for businesses, organizations and events for tourism marketing

The Allegheny National Forest Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce the summer and fall Marketing and Event Marketing Program. This program will fund eligible projects and events through December 31. Since its inception in Summer 2024, the Marketing and Event Grant Program has supported 25 events and marketing initiatives in McKean County totaling $60,000. The Bureau’s semi-annual grant program aims to fund qualified McKean County organizations and businesses to strengthen our tourism products, increase the marketing, promotion and advertising of tourism related business and enhance the quality of events.
“The landscape of destination marketing has changed in recent years, and it is important we support our tourism partners
for McKean County to flourish and to create unforgettable experiences,” said Rustin Lippincott, Allegheny National Forest
Visitors Bureau executive director. “This grant program is an excellent opportunity to support our tourism partners and
enhance our product through additional marketing, attraction development and expanding the quality and reach of our
signature events.”
The grant program leverages the Bureau’s marketing resources to create awareness, provide visitors with information to
influence their travel decisions, increase visitation to McKean County and enhance the quality and expand the type of
events across the County. The grant program reimburses eligible costs up to $2500 with a 50% required match. Completed
applications are due by June 30 for events occurring through December 31, 2025.

the destination organization representing McKean County to potential visitors, Trail Central is committed to generating

Tourism related businesses, organizations, nonprofit groups, and events based or doing business in McKean County are
eligible for the grant program. Preferences will be given to Allegheny National Forest Visitors Bureau members. Applications

Tourism is a $193.8 million industry in McKean County, according to the 2023 report from the Pennsylvania Office of
Tourism, an increase of $10 million from the previous year. The largest portion of revenue comes from transportation, food
& beverage and recreation related expenditures. More than 1200 jobs are supported by visitor spending in McKean County
generating $40.8 million in labor income.
