Butler Hill Maple

About

In the scenic countryside of Knoxville, Pennsylvania, Butler Hill Maple Farm, LLC is a veteran-owned, family-run maple operation that blends deep-rooted tradition with bold innovation. Founded by U.S. Army veteran Corrie Bacon, the farm is the product of both a lifelong passion and a post-service dream. Corrie grew up helping his father make syrup, sparking a love for maple production that never left him—even during his 31 years of military service. After retiring, Corrie purchased the maple operation from a friend in 2017 and set out to build something uniquely his own. Today, Butler Hill Maple Farm stands as a shining example of rural entrepreneurship, producing some of the region’s finest small-batch, wood-fired maple syrup with both classic and imaginative twists.

From the moment the sap begins to run each spring, Corrie and his family spring into action—collecting, boiling, and bottling syrup with care and precision. Their outdoor boiling setup often processes over 2,200 gallons of sap in a single session, yielding nearly 50 gallons of syrup, all crafted with old-fashioned dedication and modern creativity. Butler Hill Maple offers a full range of syrup grades—from Golden Delicate and Amber Rich to Dark Robust and Very Dark—but it’s their infused and flavored syrups that truly set them apart. Customers can enjoy unique varieties like cinnamon, habanero, coffee, vanilla bean, and even bourbon-barrel-aged syrup, each bursting with flavor and handmade care. For those who want to try it all, the farm’s popular sampler box includes five mini bottles for just $20, making it a perfect gift or tasting flight for maple enthusiasts.

Butler Hill Maple doesn’t stop at syrup. The Bacons also produce maple candy, maple sugar, maple cotton candy, cinnamon-glazed nuts, and a signature maple rub seasoning that brings sweet heat to any dish. Whether sold through their website, local markets, or traveling booths across Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Washington D.C., Kansas, and Missouri, their products are infused with a personal touch and a spirit of service. Corrie and his family love to connect with customers at festivals and farm events, sharing not only the flavor of their maple but the story behind it—of family, community, hard work, and veteran pride.

Visitors to the farm or online store can also request personalized etched bottles for weddings, gifts, or special occasions—adding another layer of care to a product already crafted with love. At Butler Hill Maple Farm, every bottle is more than syrup—it’s a tribute to tradition, a nod to creativity, and a heartfelt offering from a family that’s poured generations of passion into every sweet drop.
