Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Allegheny National Forest, Whispering Winds Campground has been a cherished destination since its establishment in 1962. In 2009, my husband Wayne and I became proud owners of this hidden gem, conveniently located off the historic Route 6.

While small and rustic in nature, our campground is lovingly maintained to offer a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where families can create cherished memories. Whispering Winds provides a variety of camping options, including RV campsites, tent sites, and three cozy cabins.

Our amenities are designed to enhance your stay, featuring a refreshing swimming pool, a charming creek that meanders through the campground, a playground for children, a game room, volleyball court, Wi-Fi access, and a pavilion perfect for planned activities and gatherings.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of the forest by exploring nearby hiking and biking trails, kayaking or canoeing on the serene rivers and dam, or indulging in the local culture with visits to nearby wineries, distilleries, restaurants, and shops. For those seeking relaxation, there’s nothing better than unwinding by a cozy campfire under the starry night sky.
