Things to Do in The LHR / Fishing & Boating
The Kinzua Dam, located on the Allegheny River in northwestern Pennsylvania, is a massive flood control structure built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and completed in 1965. Standing 179 feet high and stretching over 1,800 feet across, the dam created the Allegheny Reservoir, also known as Kinzua Lake, which provides flood protection, hydroelectric power, and recreational opportunities. The dam area is a popular destination for boating, fishing, hiking, and wildlife watching, set against the scenic backdrop of the Allegheny National Forest. The site also holds significant historical importance, particularly regarding the displacement of the Seneca Nation, making it both a place of recreation and reflection. https://www.facebook.com/KinzuaDam/
