Learn More About WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA CONSERVACY

The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy is dedicated to conserving and revitalizing the region's natural resources, ensuring access to clean water, thriving forests, diverse wildlife, and protected natural areas for current and future generations. Through initiatives like community flower gardens and urban greening projects, the Conservancy enhances the vibrancy of cities and towns across Western Pennsylvania. Notably, it preserves Fallingwater, Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural masterpiece, exemplifying harmonious living with nature. Since 1932, the Conservancy has safeguarded over 290,000 acres of land, contributing to the establishment of 12 state parks and the conservation of more than 3,000 miles of rivers and streams. Its community forestry program has planted over 40,000 urban trees, promoting environmental health and community well-being.
