The PA Wilds Center for Entrepreneurship, Inc., a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to integrating conservation and economic development to empower the communities within the Pennsylvania Wilds. The Center promotes the region as a premier outdoor recreation destination, helping to diversify local economies, attract investments, inspire stewardship, and improve the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
Core Programs of the PA Wilds Center:
-Wilds Cooperative of Pennsylvania (WCO): A network of over 300 place-based businesses and organizations that leverage the PA Wilds brand to reach new markets.
-PA Wilds Conservation Shop: A retail outlet that features locally sourced products from WCO members, promoting regional craftsmanship and economic growth.
-PA Wilds Media Lab: A Creative Hub for Entrepreneurs
Located in uptown Kane, PA, the PA Wilds Media Lab offers professional development resources and tools for WCO members. This state-of-the-art creative facility includes:
A professional photography studio
A recording studio
A conference room
Event space
The Media Lab supports entrepreneurs in the region, helping them expand their businesses and enhance their digital presence. It also serves as the administrative office for the PA Wilds Center.
