The Pennsylvania Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) program is a nationally accredited initiative that offers educational training, business resources, and expert no-cost, confidential consulting to small business owners and entrepreneurs. With a statewide network of 15 centers and outreach locations, the Pennsylvania SBDC is dedicated to fostering the growth and success of small businesses.

The PennWest Clarion SBDC, one of the 15 centers in the network, proudly supports small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs across Armstrong, Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Elk, Forest, Jefferson, McKean, Potter, and Venango counties. With a team of five experienced business consultants, the Center provides personalized one-on-one consulting, meeting clients where they are—literally and figuratively—to help them achieve their business goals.

In collaboration with the SBDCs at Penn State and the University of Scranton, the PennWest Clarion SBDC co-established the Agriculture Center of Excellence, a specialized resource hub for agricultural and agriculture-related businesses. This includes support for:

-Farmers and food producers
-Food manufacturers and establishments
-The lumber industry and related sectors
The Agriculture Center of Excellence is dedicated to helping these businesses thrive through targeted training, guidance, and resources.
