Renowned for its abundant forests and rich lumber heritage, Northern Pennsylvania's Northern Tier region produces some of the finest northern Appalachian hardwood lumber and forest products in the world. The Northern Tier Hardwood Association (NTHA) and its members are committed to ensuring the long-term sustainability of these valuable forest resources through active participation in the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and other critical environmental programs.
