Learn More About EDINBORO AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Edinboro Area Historical Society (EAHS) is dedicated to the preservation, interpretation and presentation of the rich history of Edinboro, PA and adjacent areas. The Edinboro Area Historical Society collects, preserves and promotes the history of Edinboro and the surrounding area.

The Edinboro Area Historical Society holds programs, such as our blueberry social, as well as other events at the Doucette House, our headquarters at 126 Water Street. We appreciate all the volunteer work that our members do, and there is opportunity for your participation if you wish. Most of all, we want to hear from you regarding your experiences in Edinboro, about Edinboro, about our past, or about our present. We have a growing library of local materials, including a complete census collection, and all extant copies of the Edinboro Independent that we can find, reaching back into the 19th century. Our Doucette House is also a museum and we hope you’ll take some time some Tuesday or Saturday morning to visit. The house is open 9AM – 12 Noon on those two days; please call ahead if you plan to visit from out of town. Although we are a volunteer organization, we can often arrange other times as well for your visit.
