Founded on November 17, 1955, the Clearfield County Historical Society is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history, artifacts, and genealogy of Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. Through the tireless efforts of its members and volunteers, the Society safeguards the memories and cultural heritage of the region for future generations.
The Clearfield County Historical Society exists to:
-Preserve County History: Maintain and share the stories, records, and artifacts of Clearfield County's ancestors who shaped the region’s economic, social, and cultural fabric.
-Promote Genealogy Research: Provide resources for tracing family histories and exploring the rich ancestry of Clearfield County.
-Celebrate Heritage: Showcase the origins, diversity, and development of the county through exhibits, publications, and events.
