Cameron County Outdoor Youth Activities (CCOYA) is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Emporium, Pennsylvania, nestled in the heart of the Land of the Endless Mountains. Our mission is to educate, mentor, and inspire youth aged 3-17 to embrace an outdoor lifestyle through hands-on experiences in hunting, fishing, and environmental education.
At CCOYA, we believe in fostering a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors and the environment by introducing children to nature at an early age. Through partnerships with local schools, libraries, sportsmen’s clubs, and a network of private and public sponsors, we offer a variety of programs that teach skills and encourage active participation in the outdoors.
Our Programs and Impact:
-Outdoor Skills Development: Learn the fundamentals of hunting, fishing, and wildlife conservation.
-Environmental Education: Gain awareness about environmental stewardship through hands-on learning.
-Collaborative Partnerships: We work with local businesses, state and national organizations, and community volunteers to create impactful programs.
-Youth Mentorship: We mentor youth to develop a passion for the outdoors, instilling values that will positively shape their lives.
Founded by the Ron Andrews Family of Tunkhannock and Emporium, PA, the CCOYA endowment fund is managed by the Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains in Montrose, PA. This fund ensures sustainable support for our programs, which aim to spark an interest in nature and outdoor activities that will last a lifetime.
CCOYA is an approved EITC: PA Educational Improvement Organization, making our programs eligible for Educational Improvement Tax Credit support, further enhancing our ability to serve the community.
Join us in empowering the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts. Visit our website to learn more about our programs, events, and how you can support our mission through volunteering, sponsorship, or donations.
