Learn More About ALLEGHENY NATIONAL FOREST VISITORS BUREAU

The Allegheny National Forest Visitors Bureau (ANFVB) is the official Destination Marketing Organization for McKean County, Pennsylvania. We are a not-for-profit corporation with a mission to promote travel & tourism into McKean County.

Our mission is to increase the number of visitors, their length of stay, and the per dollar amount they spend daily. We promote and assist in tourism product development, and we strive to keep all of our visitors happy! The ANF Visitors Bureau Welcome Center is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm daily in Bradford, and the Kinzua Bridge Visitors Center is open from 8 am to 6 pm daily, at the Kinzua Bridge State Park-with seasonal hours after Labor Day.

We are unique in many ways, including Forest Press, which is a division of our bureau which produces award winning books and DVD's about the region. New attractions opened within McKean County include the Kinzua Sky Walk-one of the top 10 most scenic skywalks in the world," the Marilyn Horne Museum, Serenity Glass Park in Port Allegany. The Knox & Kane Rail trail from the Kinzua Bridge State Park to Lantz Corners was named the 2023 Pennsylvania Trail of the Year. McKean County is marketed as "Trail Central" and our long term vision is to have all of the trails within McKean County to connect to the Kinzua Bridge State Park, our local communities, and the trail systems within the Allegheny National Forest and the Allegany State Park.

In regards to the LHR, we hope you will continue to offer mini-grants, and work to enhance the timber industry by finding wood artisans who can utilize our raw products to create fine furniture and wood accents which can be marketed both here and nationally.
