LHR Board Member, Amy Shields, Recognized Among Pennsylvania’s “Agriculture Power 100”
In conjunction with Ag Progress Days, City & State Pennsylvania Magazine released their list of the top 100 people in Pennsylvania Agriculture, and we’re proud to report that the forest products industry was well-represented.
Included on the list were PFPA Executive Director Matt Gabler and Allegheny Hardwood Utilization Group (AHUG) Executive Director Amy Shields. Both were recognized for their influence and impact. Gabler was noted as a twelve-year veteran of the legislature who has been effective in growing PFPA’s membership and advocating for the industry in the State Capitol.
Shields was recognized for her effectiveness in representing the forest products industry in a region of Pennsylvania known worldwide for its forest products – especially Cherry hardwood. Amy’s strength in her position is enhanced by her background in the lumber business and her effectiveness in advocating and promoting forest products’ sustainability and economic importance.
