Pennsylvania’s forests are more than just a natural resource—they’re a vital part of our economy, culture, and future. The Keystone Wood Products Association (KWPA) is a driving force behind this legacy, supporting and promoting the wood products industry in Central Pennsylvania.
KWPA’s mission is simple yet impactful: strengthen and expand the base of lumber and wood products manufacturers in Pennsylvania while maintaining sustainability and environmental stewardship. As a Hardwood Utilization Group (HUG), KWPA collaborates with other organizations, including the Pennsylvania Hardwood Development Council and sister groups like AHUG, to amplify the industry’s success.
The KWPA is deeply committed to ensuring that Pennsylvania’s wood products industry thrives for generations to come. Through initiatives like workforce development, educational outreach, and legislative advocacy, KWPA helps businesses grow, communities thrive, and students discover fulfilling careers in forestry and manufacturing.
From snowboards to pallets, Pennsylvania hardwoods move the world. KWPA members like Remmey The Pallet Company are proof of this innovation, producing up to 9,500 pallets per day—a shining example of the industry’s versatility and impact.
Membership in KWPA means access to exclusive resources, networking opportunities, and a shared commitment to advancing Pennsylvania’s wood products industry. Together, members are shaping the future of forestry, fostering economic growth, and ensuring that Pennsylvania hardwoods remain a global leader.
