Some or all of your Heritage areas may be located within the Appalachian Regional Commission designated region. You and a “gateway” community within your region may want to take advantage of this great training opportunity provided by the Appalachian Regional Commission, the Conservation Fund, and the National Endowment for the Arts. A gateway community is defined as a community that borders or is near publicly owned lands such as national and state parks and forests.
