PA’s 105th FARM SHOW HAS OFFICIALLY KICKED OFF!!

Written by Jswatsworth

Each year in Pennsylvania, we kick off the new year with a celebration of Pennsylvania agriculture with the Pennsylvania Farm Show.  After a year like no other, get ready to experience a Farm Show like no other…virtually! Cozy up on your couch, grab some Pennsylvania snacks, and get ready to immerse yourself in all things Pennsylvania agriculture.

The virtual Farm Show runs from Saturday, January 9 through Saturday, January 16, 2021.

1. Virtual Exhibits: A collection of vendors, associations, educators and services that fill the booths at the virtual 2021 Pennsylvania Farm Show. Browse through this fascinating list of Pennsylvania’s finest opportunities, follow the links to videos and activities, and cultivate a brighter tomorrow with us.

You can explore these virtual exhibits from the comfort of your home. Join us down this fascinating rabbit hole of Pennsylvania agriculture!

Find the virtual exhibits at farmshow.pa.gov, click 2021 PA Farm Show > Participate Virtually > Virtual Exhibits.

The Virtual Exhibits will not be live until Saturday, January 9, 2021.

2. Instagram Takeovers: Follow @PAFarmShowOpens In A New Window on Instagram for 20 takeovers that will take you behind the scenes on Pennsylvania’s farms. Follow along to learn the innerworkings of everything from goat or poultry farming, to organic agriculture or bees or rabbits. The Instagram takeovers will run from Saturday, January 9 through Saturday, January 16, 2021.

3. Pennsylvania Farm Show Trail: With our first-ever virtual Farm Show, comes our first-ever Pennsylvania Farm Show Trail! The trail is a map that features the commercial exhibitors and PA Preferred members you’ve come to love at the traditional Farm Show.

An interactive map, you can search for your favorites by keyword (honey, apples, wine, steak, alpaca fiber!) or just browse to see what’s available in your own hometown. The map features both storefronts, such as farmers markets, and businesses with ecommerce platforms. Everything from beer or fresh produce to pet food and fiber-products or hand-crafted artisan products.

Make your 2021 resolution to find new ways to support Pennsylvania’s agribusinesses! Visit farmshow.pa.gov/trail to adventure along the trail.

4. Duckling Pond and Beehive Live Cams: Buzz in to check out the live beehive and duckling pond cams live daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.! The links to these cams will be available at farmshow.pa.gov starting Saturday, January 9.

The live cams can be found on the PA Farm Show website at farmshow.pa.gov click 2021 PA Farm Show > Participate Virtually and look for the Duck Cam and Bee Cam!
