We are super excited to announce a new signpost has been added to The Lumber Heritage Trail! The new LHR sign went up today in the Philipsburg Historic District at The 1807 John Henry Simler House, located at 100 North Second Street. The Simler House, is the oldest building in Philipsburg, a log cabin covered with clapboard siding before 1850. Thank you to the Philipsburg Historical Foundation for sponsoring the sign, to the Borough of Philipsburg for the installation, and to Kathy for coordinating the effort. The next step is to add the placards and the arrows and it will be “Selfie” ready!
