Written by Jswatsworth

Demonstrators, vendors, and industry experts NEEDED for LOGS 2 LUMBER event. This event will have various demonstrations from how to grade wood, cut wood, create bowls/tools, various crafts, demos, and safety. They are looking for more industry participation. If you are interested in participating or have questions, please contact Jaye Bressler 814.236.1100 or email jbressler@curwensville.org

This year, on May 21, 2021 we will be celebrating our 12th Year!

Logs to Lumber has grown over the years, beginning with just a few shop students wanting to
showcase their talents. As time went on, we have expanded to include more business owners who are willing to showcase what they have learned. We have numerous graduates from our district (Curwensville) who assist in the planning of this event as well as contributing on the day of the event.

This group of High School Students elect to be part of this club, demonstrating to their classmates as well as the young and old, that working hands-on is not a lost art. Students enjoy showing what they have learned/built/created as well as being able to share their experiences and knowledge with others.

Whether students want to pursue a career in forestry, being a logger, a Conservation officer, or just being able to build something for a friend or family member, this club gives them the understanding to do such.  The planning for the one day event happens all year long. We have various demonstrations from how to grade wood, cut wood, create bowls/tools, various crafts, demos, and safety. We also have the Wood Mobile that is interactive for all.

We welcome the public to this event – Sawdust will fly at 8am on Friday, May 21, 2021

If you are able and willing, we would like you to join our event. If you are interested in participating or have questions, please contact Jaye Bressler 814.236.1100 or email jbressler@curwensville.org
